Establishing the production of passenger Tu-214s is easier and faster than the latest SSJ New and MS-21: it only needed to re-create a cabin for it. However, the production was still modernized: the stamping shop was reconstructed, and the engineering equipment was updated.
According to the plan, three passenger Tu-214s should be handed over to operators this year: tail number 64535 - for the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and numbers 64536 and 64537 - for UVT-Aero. As part of previously concluded contracts, until 2025, Aeroflot should receive 11 passenger Tu-214s.
