Prague wants the concept of chargers for electric cars. Instead of two hundred of them should be up to 5000

Prague City Hall will have a conception of charging stations for electric vehicles developed. The material for the city will be developed by its ICT Operator (OICT). The city's goal is to have 4000 to 5000 charging points. Mayor Zdeněk Hřib and Councilor Jan Chabr told reporters today.

There are about 200 public chargers in Prague and others have private companies. Electric car owners can park their cars in the parking zones for free in Prague.

"There are more electric cars in Prague. In 2018, 1591 were registered, which was 500 more year-on-year. The development of electromobility is dynamic and Prague must be ready. Without these charging stations, development is unthinkable," said Hřib.
