Continental in Brandys nad Labem, Czechia, opens testing labs to external parties, says Ladislav Herc

Continental in Brandys nad Labem, a manufacturer of electronics for the world's leading automakers, has modernized and expanded its laboratories for testing products and their components. This resulted in the creation of an extensive, top-equipped workplace, the capacity of which also enables the use of external candidates. In Brandýs laboratories they can test products and materials from companies in the automotive, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optics, but also retail.

At Continental, they have invested in the purchase of a number of new equipment and now have three laboratories: measuring, calibration and testing. "In this trial, we offer external candidates nine different types of tests that can be used to develop and approve new products," says Ladislav Herc, laboratory manager at the Brandys plant. The site is IATF16949 certified, but not accredited to IEC17025.
